Okay, here's the nature of customer service during a high demand period, from someone that has worked in that area in a previous life.
Magpul probably does have a dedicated receptionist. That receptionist is over whelmed given the way business has picked up for the whole gun industry right now. That's why the phone goes directly to voice mail. Otherwise, the receptionist would have thousands (yes, thousands.) of calls in queue. I shit you not. I worked for a company that was nowhere near as busy as I'm sure Magpul is right now, we had 13 people answering phones and it's wasn't uncommon for everyone to be on a call and have another 50 waiting. When people say Botach Tactical (or whoever) has a backorder for 50,000 Pmags, they're not bullshitting. Bushmaster is 100,000 rifles backordered. For the life of me, I can't remember which company was talking about it, but they're backlogged on barrels until this time *NEXT YEAR*. Know what? I'm going to cut it short. Most people reading this should not take offense. They know who they are and the state of things in the industry right now. I'm saying it for everyone else because we keep seeing this: THE FUCKING GUN INDUSTRY IS MORE BUSY NOW THAN IT HAS EVER BEEN, *EVER*. LEAVE A MESSAGE AND SEND AN EMAIL. THEY WILL GET BACK TO YOU. AT LEAST MAGPUL WILL. I CANNOT VOUCH FOR EVERY COMPANY BUT MAGPUL IS RELIABLE AND JUSTIN IS UP TO HIS BALLS IN CALLS AND EMAILS THAT HE'S TRYING TO WADE THROUGH. SO IS EVERYONE ELSE. YOUR SHIT IS BACKORDERED. *MY* SHIT IS BACKORDERED. THE GUY THAT POSTED AHEAD OF ME HAS SHIT BACKORDERED. THE GUY THAT POSTS AFTER ME HAS SHIT BACKORDERED. I BOUGHT SHIT FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. THAT SHIT IS BACKORDERED. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS ORDERED SHIT. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS CALLED OR EMAILED. EVERYONE ELSE THAT HAS ORDERED SHIT HAS CALLED AND EMAILED AS WELL. TAKE A NUMBER. WAIT YOUR TURN. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. LIKE WHEN YOU'RE LINING UP A LONG RANGE SHOT. WE ALL KNOW IT'S BUSY. IF YOU LIVE UNDER A ROCK, YOU MAY NOT HAVE KNOWN OBAMA GOT ELECTED AND PEOPLE STARTED BUYING MORE "ASSAULT WEAPONS" AND ASSORTED GEAR FOR FEAR IT WOULD BE BANNED. IF YOU WANT TO BITCH ABOUT NOT GETTING AN IMMEDIATE RESPONSE, TAKE A SPONGE AND A PRESSURE WASHER AND GO CLEAN THE SAND OUT OF YOUR VAGINA. THE SWAT TEAM IS RAIDING A HOUSE DOWN THE STREET. I paid for a lower BEFORE the election, that was literally sold off the desk of the rep I have been dealing with, literally the money was on-route to the vendor. I doubt if I will ever receive it, I'll just have to ask for my money back which will probably take a couple months also. I'm letting it lay in the hopes the I MIGHT get it. I can't even get a response email from them. I understand that things are busy, but I'm not even in line as far as I know. How's that for integrity! |

There are alot of people out there who are simply worried they will not be able to get what they want before the clock strikes midnight. I'm not making excuses for anyone, but I think the current political environment is really making people crazy. |
