Has anyone ever tried it?  Is the chemical bond possible.  Would LaRue ever do it?  Mark, would ya?  Id send you a box of Cohibas.  Think about it OD Green mounts, UDE colored rails, FDE FUG's........

I think any metal thats not Chromed can be powdercoated pretty easy...



My cousin does a lot of car parts and other crap... He bought a old oven offa Craigslist for like 40 bucks, and a powercoat gun and accesories from Eastwood



He sprays the part, then bakes it in the oven, lets it cool and Bingo...  Might take some looking, but I'm sure someones got the pigment in the colors you'd require...

IMO there are many superior options, powder coating is thick and not very tough.

cerakote would be easier

I've had multiple sets of wheels powdercoated and car parts and never had any issues with chipping/flaking.

OK...
doesnt change the fact that it is thick and not very tough. I have powdercoated rims, but those are rims and they don't exactly make contact with anything.
