I just ordered a Predator Pursuit 20" upper and have a question. This is my first time dealing with a float tube. How does this come off? I want to do some camo work to it. TIA |

Steve, If I can rephrase the question For the Predator Pursuit, does the float tube thread directly into/onto the barrel nut (2 pieces total, abrrel nut + float tube)? Or is it a 3 part set-up (barrel nut, float tube, and a 3rd "indexing nut")? Also, can you tell us what the PP free float tube and associated parts above weigh? Redram, If you haven't checked it out already, look at the "Build It Yourself" forum...the tacked thread for "How to Assemble..." shows a few variations of (railed) float tube installations. My guess is that due to liability reasons, Steve won't be able to tell anyone how to take their rifle apart beyond normal cleaning/maintenance requirements that are covered in the manual. (I just purchased a barely used Pred. Pursuit Upper on the EE...anxiously awaiting it's arrival!) --Otter |

The PP has been built both with a single-piece tubular handguard that incorporated the bbl nut directly into it, or a three-piece set up...tube, bbl nut, and lock nut that indexes the tube to the bbl nut...depending on what we have in stock at the time of the build. I'll try to get back intothe shop at some point to get weights for you. Steve/RRA |
