I bought a pro upper kit with optic. I bought a Geissele rail and tool apart the upper to install it. It appears to the the locating pin on the barrel was not tall enough to engage the slot on the upper and allowed the barrel to rotate in the upper. The pin sheared off. Can I get a new locator pin from you? Look at the pics and tell me what you think the problem is. The last pics aren't crystal clear but you can see where it was making contact, it was not making much.

If you wish to replace the barrel pin, please contact a reputable gunsmith that is has experience with AR15's. We recommend replacing the entire barrel. All of our PRO upper combos were made with FN supplied barrels, the pin was the same height as the collar of the barrel extension. The mark inside the upper looks like it snapped when the new barrel nut was being tightened, or flash hider installed. The force to shear it must have been considerable. We recommend using a barrel vice to change flash hiders. Please contact Customer service directly with your order number to discuss a replacement barrel. |
