I have emailed, waited, received reply several days later.

Confirmed I would get a return shipping label.  Waited a week.  No shipping label.  Emailed, now waiting several days, no shipping label.

Problem with lower was that the hole for safety detente was NOT drilled through.

So today I get a call from a friend who ordered a lower on my recommendation.

On his, there are two holes at the back of the magwell for the trigger guard (where there should only be one) and at the back of the trigger guard there is only one hole for the roll pin (where there should be two).

My lowers were shipped on Nov. 23.
First email sent by me on Dec. 30  Reply came on Jan. 2 (so far so good)
No shipping label by Jan. 10 (not so good)
No reply as of this moment.

Buddy ordered his lower  on or about the same day that I did.

Thought this was handled.  Second return label has been sent.  Please check your spam folders and call in the morning if you still do not have a label.

Received the label today.

I checked my spam folder for the first week in January.  Unless Palmetto started selling Cialis, I did not get an email at that time.

Shipped to Palmetto.

Returned promptly in working order.

My buddy mentioned above was using instructions from this site (ARFcom) to assemble his lower.  I need to find his link.  The picture instructs installation of the trigger guard backwards.  !

My only "complaint" at this point is that Palmetto repaired his mistake and gave him a free hat.

I dint get no hat!

EDIT:  Found the picture.  If not careful, notice it shows two holes on magwell side.

Assembly Guide

Shows that anyone can make a mistake.  He is a well educated guy who usually has a very good eye for detail.

I am not sure what you mean, that is how the trigger guard is supposed to be installed. If open, it should fold down against the grip

I think we was thinking that the hole that takes the screw like pin is suppose to be drilled all the way through like the roll pin hole is.

3823 posts and your not sure about assembling a trigger guard and what all the holes are for? C'mon man.

1287 posts and you can't read for comprehension?

The lower I had problems with was not machined correctly.  Palmetto fixed.

My buddy made a mistake in assembling his lower.  Palmetto fixed it for him.  And gave him a hat.

FIRST LET ME SAY:

PALMETTO ARE GOOD FOLKS

There were two problems discussed in this thread, and due to lack of reading comprehension it is getting off track.

Here is the problem my lower had.  Hole for detente not drilled through.

I shipped the lower back to Palmetto and they REPAIRED THE PROBLEM.

The second issue was with a FRIEND of mine who, looking at the assembly picture I posted in my earlier post, (and in this post)  and not having much experience with AR's assembled his incorrectly.  Once he realized that, he returned it to Palmetto and they REPAIRED IT FOR HIM AT NO COST.   Even though it was not their mistake.

I tried to crack a joke about not getting a free hat, as Palmetto sent one to my friend with his repaired lower.

Palmetto are good folks.  They solve both problems without complaint and did so quickly.
I don't want to see this thread get off track because some people can't read.

good to hear they worked it out. Palmetto is one of several companies that strive for good customer service.they are extremely busy and do make mistakes but they fix them and don't blame someone else. they goof they fix-someone else goof they fix.win,win...cutomer for life.

The left-side hammer pin hole on mine was slightly oval rather than perfectly circular.  I only mention this for future QC/QA efforts.  I'm not going to use an aftermarket trigger, so a set of KNS pins sorts out my problem.  There's also a weird shadow inside the magwell matching the cutout for the mag release.  It doesn't affect anything at all, but I'm curious as to how it got there.
