So I've got an OBR with a Surefire brake on it. Occasionally I think it'd be fun to shoot in F class, but don't want to hassle with pulling the brake.
Since the brake allows for QD mounting of a suppressor, does anyone make a QD device to eliminate the brake function so it can be used in competition? Or is the answer simply replace it with a different muzzle device? |

Quoted:
You could make a sleeve to eliminate the comp part. Don't know if it would be legal for competition or the BATF. Why would the BATF consider it illegal? A QD sleeve covering a comp would be just as legal as running a comp or no comp at all. I don't understand. |

I can see his point, Im sure the BATF would say he is trying to make a supressor with the comp holes covered they could say they are acting as baffles even though it wouldn't suppress. |

The vietnam era moderators that were on carbines are regulated items. They are similar to what is being described. |
