So hears a pretty simple idea...  how about a conversion kit for ACU type uniforms that lets the user run buttons on the pockets instead of the velcro?  It could be a simple add-on with the botton attaching to one side of the velcro and the hole on the other piece.  Nice and quiet!  Thoughts?

That is a great idea. Have you seen the magnet retrofit kits by Fighter design?
I have a few sets and they are great.

Checked them out.  I worry about effect on compass/gps/etc.  Those rare earth magnets usually have a pretty sizable field around them.
