I just bought a new Colt BCG. On the bottom of the bolt, it has what looks like a small oval of white paint or nail polish on it. What is this supposed to signify? Seems like I saw a post some time back explaining this, but I can't find it now.

I think its a quality control mark...means it got personally inspected I believe.

Yep. It will come off with cleaning... at least mine did.
