I love the things and I'm putting them in every USGI mag I buy.

Do they need to be modified for use in 20 round mags?

If not, do they perform better in straight or curved 20-rounders, or does it even matter?

Thanks.

They won't work right in the straight 20rd mags.  They work very well in the curved 20's.  I have Magpul followers in every mag that will take them.

That's what I wanted to know, thank you.

You can use them in straight 20's if you cut the legs down some. I cut a few down and installed them in straight 20's. They were still anti tilt but I could only get 18 or 19 rounds in the mags. Better than the black USGI follwers any day though.

The shape of the mag is no big deal to me. I have a couple CProd 20's in stainless steel and their followers are plenty anti-tilt enough (they very much resemble magpul followers). I have a couple straight body NHMTG's and a couple D&H curved 20's. I have magpul followers in all thirty of my 30 rnd USGI mags and wanted my 20's to benefit from the magpul followers too.

So... reckon I'll get more curved D&H 20s, magpulize 'em and it's all good. I think I'll leave my NHMTG's alone. They function just fine and my 20's are for hunting delicious small animals instead of hunting zombies, aliens, or martial law stormtroopers.

Thanks for the info!

The straight 20s followers need to be able to tilt because 5.56 isnt straight walled cases. 20 cases stacked are shorter at the front than the back. When you get 20 of them loaded, the follower needs to be able to tilt so that even pressure is applied by the spring or you will get feeding issues. Even in the Pmag 20s there is a tilting follower.
