I've actually got a few questions, and the issue behind them is a little complicated so bear with me please.
I purchased a mil-spec CTR last week and received it this morning. Come to find out that the mil-spec receiver extension I thought I had likely isn't mil-spec at all. At any rate the CTR won't fit the tube at all. I realize I can swap the mil-spec CTR I have for a commercial version; at least that's what I gather, right? However, I want to use the CTR without the rubber buttpad, and from what I understand the commercial version requires the buttpad because of the extra length/angular end on a commercial tube. Am I correct in this assumption or is it possible to use the commercial CTR without the pad? On another tangent, I might just decide round up an actual mil-spec tube and keep the CTR I currently have; particularly if the commercial CTR is a no-go without the pad. My mil-spec CTR came with a rubber buttpad installed. As I mentioned, I want to use it without the pad so I removed it, But without it the pad there's that gaping hole left in the rear face of the stock. I've seen photos of the CTR with a fitted plate in place of the hole, as seen in this one from your site. My CTR didn't come with one of those, and I wonder if they're still available and if it's possible to order one? Thanks, and sorry for my convoluted little ordeal. |

We do have Butt-Caps available and they WILL work on Commercial-spec CTRs, however you won't be able to collapse the stock entirely due to the extended slant back on Commercial-spec Receiver Extensions.
