I have a badger Tact. latch now.  When I rack the handle using the latch (not really making contact with the CH it self) it seems to have a lot of pressure on the side of the inside of the upper.  It seems to drag on the inside of the upper.

Does the BCM Gunfighter solve this problem?

Thanks

Partially.

I have both and the BCM does seem to lesson but not eliminate charging handle twisting/torque

AR15fan hit it. Reduction, not elimination.

is it enough reduction to make it worth buying it?

Absolutely. Here's my opinion on the part.

Im very happy with mine.  I got the smaller of the two, slowly but surely I will be phasing them into the rest of my AR's.

Depends if you pull it straight back or to the left. From what I've seen it's really not that much different from a regular charging handle as far as friction in the upper goes. I just installed mine the other day. I've been practicing with it and you can smell the friction of the finish wearing off. I've only racked it probably around 30 times and there is wear on the top and sides of the charging handle. It already has more wear than the 3 year old CMT CH it replaced and it's soaked in CLP so it's plenty lubricated. It also rubbed off more finish on the lower receiver than the CMT CH did. I think it has slightly larger dimensions. Wear doesn't bother me much and is actually an improvement to the overly long verbiage on the CH.

I like the extra gripping surface for one finger charging but the edges are very sharp and gets painful after repeated pulls if not wearing gloves. It's also pinched my finger a few times but it's not that much of a problem. I'm going to round out the edges with afile. For a $45 CH, I shouldn't have to modify it and would be very happy with it if the edges weren't as sharp.

I got one for Christmas, I love it.  It does not really take the friction off, buy feels a ton more solid.

Same here, it is the only non-furniture modification I will make to my 6920. I have come to really appreciate the CH on my BCM mid-length.

Santa brought two to my house for Christmas. I like them alot more than the Badger latch. Seems to operate smoother and also the Mod4 latch does not poke me in the chest when my weapon is slung.

I believe they do pull back smoother than other tac latches.

I have both sizes and prefer the Mod4 for the same reason.
