I've started playing around with Strelok, and as I've been inputting my various rifles (and whatever optics are mounted) into the app I've starting paying closer attention to reticles. From what I've seeing, the V-plex reticle is not consistent across platforms, i.e. the V-plex reticle in a Crossfire II is not the same as the V-plex reticle in a Diamondback HP. Is this correct, or am I missing something?
I believe the reticle is the same but the subtensions listed on the website are different between same brand scopes, since the reticle is being shown at the highest magnification for a particular scope. I did a few quick calculations, and my math seems to support this. Can you confirm this? I have two Diamondback HP 2-8x32 with V-plex reticles I use on a muzzleloader and a slug gun, and I'm curious if the point where the reticle changes from thin to thick will correspond with a meaningful hold over. |

AeroEngineer - not every single one of our V-Plex reticles has the exact same subtension value. The best place to confirm this is right on our LRBC! You enter your data, click on "Reticle" and select your reticle. You can then even change the magnification and find out where your subtensions are the most useful! http://apps.vortexoptics.com/lrbc/ -RJ |
