PSA

Can you show me where you have stated blems are now used, I.E returns from customers where takedown pin holes are worn, scratches on barrel and powder fouling (not a test shot) around the gas block/in upper reciever???

This is what CS is saying, can you confirm it is true.

BTW this is what is  on the website:
** These uppers will have cosmetic blemishes that do not affect function. This may include, but is not limited to, forging marks under the finish, scratches, slight variation in the finish color coat.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Blems uppers are just as described on the website.  They are new uppers that are found to have cosmetic blemishes during final inspection.   They will have been test fired, as all our complete uppers are.

IM sent.

PSA customer service told you a blem upper is one that has been returned and/or used and shot by someone else?

I'm guessing it was a return, and no one inspected it and just recycled it as "blem"

no biggy its been sent back, I just wanted to make sure they weren't doing it on purpose, which they are not.

I will chalk it up to used=test fired to the CS agent

Ofcourse they are, what do you expect them to do, throw returns away?

I love the posts from PSA, like a Russian general giving the company line, no more no less. Lol

Thank you for your comments.

As we said before, blems are just that - cosmetic blemishes.  They are new products that are not perfect.

Often times, customers will mistake marks from assembly on the lugs from the armorer's block, or brass marks on the shell deflector as evidence the upper is "used.".  The aluminum armorers block can leave a thin film of aluminum on the surface of the anodized upper.  This film will scrub off revealing the undamaged black anodized surface beneath, but to the untrained eye, it looks as if the lugs are worn.   All of our uppers are test fired to check function, so shell deflector marks from the brass may be visible.

How else to answer?  This post is the equivalent of asking when did you stop beating your wife?   Just answering the question as posed confirms the premise, whether or not the premise was true.
