I am just about to pull the trigger on a new upper, and I just have a couple questions: 1. If I buy the LMT 14.5" or BCM 14.5" upper, do they come with a flash hider pinned to get them to the legal 16"? Or should I just get the 16"? 2. I noticed that the BCG option for the LMT upper is the CMT BCG rather than LMT? Is there an advantage to going with the CMT? 3. Is there really a big difference between the 14.5" M4, the 16" carbine and the 16" middy? Thanks in advance. |
1) The 14.5 does not come with a pinned FH. You could get it pinned locally if you want that barrel. BCM 14.5" are way out on ETA. 2) The CMT BCGs are easier to get, so the package won't be out of stock. Both very good groups. 3) Not a large difference in velocity or cycle rate. Mostly personal preference. The middy gives you a bit longer sight radius, little softer cycle (little), and more room for goodies on your handguards. |
