If I search for 47 days, 6 hours and 25 minutes, I could probably find all these answers on the Colt section blog, but for someone who hasn't been following this gun ever since its inception, all I need are a few quick answers before I drop my order for a LaRue that is reaching toward a year old......
1. What is the average wait time on one of these from order to fulfillment of that order? 2. Do they use KAC/OBR Pmags? 3. Are they "reliable" with 147 grain NATO? 4. Is the trigger an AR-15 drop in trigger as some .308 AR's use, or does it use the larger unit? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!! |

Thanks!!! However, Yes answers one part of #4, I just don't know which one??? Part A: Does it use an AR-15 trigger group, or Part B: Does it use a larger trigger group as some .308 AR's use The reason I ask is that I have a Wilson Combat single stage TTU currently residing in a 6.8 SPCII I would like to drop in it if I purchase one. |

Std ar-15, but you will probably have to use the pins from the 901 as they are longer than std. I am waiting on arrival of a geissele ssa-e to try in mine, though Ive been managing to make it shoot damn good with the stock unit. Not familiar with that trigger so don't cuss me if it doesn't work. |

It has the least takeup or let off of any trigger unit I have used so far, which amplifies the axiom, never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to destroy something I have it in my 6.8 SPC at the moment, but would gladly put it in the Colt 901 if it uses standard pin sizes.... I just wish Wilson made a large pin version so I could put one in my Colt Match Target Competition HBAR II...... It would be great for a PDW, you can dump a magazine in about half the time it takes to dump one with a standard or even a lightweight JP trigger. Which is nice if you have a Zombie Hoard crashing through your front door and into your hallway!!! Otherwise, it would also make a great hunting trigger, which is why it's on the 6.8 instead of my CMMG 5.56..... I'll have to look and see if they make a non-rotating pin kit for the 901, never have to worry about a pin coming out with that kit in place! I have them on all three of my AR's.... |
