| I've got an Armalite 10t and a Larue FF rail system. The rail will extend over the gas block, so I'm getting a LT gas block. I know the 10t needs a .875" gas block, but have no idea what the "spacing" means on the LT website. I called LT yesterday, but the rep said I needed to talk to Armalite. No one at Armalite knew what I was talking about, at least no one I got on the phone. It is the standard 10t: 20", triple lapped , stainless barrel. It seems like someone at LT should be able to help me with this, we're not talking about an exotic rifle here. Any help here guys? |

They are probably referring to the thickness of the retainer for the hand guards that will be removed. On my AR10, it measured .027". Armalite has spacers for that. You can verify the distance by measuring from the gas port center to the shoulder and then compare it to the block. On mine, I used a feeler gauge to set the distance and then tightened the block - works very well for several years now.

On mine, I used a feller gauge to set the distance and then tightened the block - works very well for several years now. The 10t is already a free float barrel, thus no hand guard retainer. I'm basically switching out Armalite's picitinny block for Larue's lo-pro. Not sure how to transfer your information to my situation. Thanks though. |
