Bought a rifle kit from PSA over two years ago. Finally opened it and got to assembling a few weeks ago.

Parts were missing. Sent an IM to @PalmettoStateArmory and got a reply 90 minutes later.

No questions, no hassle, no cost. Have the parts in my hand 10 days later.

Thanks!

If we could only get them to answer the god damned product questions here, and through their own site. So far All I hear is crickets chirping. I know they are busy guys... but people want answers to simple questions. Fuck... even things like. Will you be making ********* (insert whatever product query) ever again. Well a yes, no, or yes but not for an estimated year or 3 months or whatever. I mean shit... this isn't that hard.

You make a few assumptions here. One, you assume the individual(s) monitoring this site are in regular contact with the manufacturing department to receive constant updates. Two, you assume "the powers that be" actually sit down and come up with a manufacturing plan/schedule far enough in advance to actually be able to provide answers to questions like this. Three, you assume everything on the PSA website is "made" by PSA. A lot of their "production schedule" (that we assume they have and/or adhere to) is based on availability from suppliers/vendors.

Seeing as how I work in a large scale production environment, If they do not have some sort of a manufacturing plan, they are leaving money on the table. As for the contact, they paid the sum for the forum board and to advertise. Thus, they have shown an interest in the community. They are failing to answer simple questions. This is not the first thread referencing that. There is plenty of them on here where they cannot even answer their own product questions. They are seriously making errors in their business. Even if they are profitable and successful, they are leaving money on the table that could be easily picked up. One good customer service rep, would be able to pay for himself in their increased reputation and additional sales, (assuming they could meet the demand)

Production management is what I do for a living. This is something I live and breathe daily.

I totally agree with you. My point was, you might want to temper your expectations of certain things with PSA. Let's just say PSA isn't very "conventional" when it comes to legitimate business practices.

If you don't like the way they run their business go shop at DPMS or Olympic arms.
