Not a huge deal but the used Viper 4-16x44 LR that we bought from our friend.
The magnification setting ring on this is the older model that has a rubber cover and not of the newer design that is all metal knurled housing which I seen to your site. 
The only problem (was disclosed to me at purchase) it that the rubber ring cover is coming off. You have to be easy with the magnification setting ring to keep the rubber from ripping off. 
Is there anyway I can send it in to fix the rubber ring or I could pay for an upgraded rear bell. I am in no way mad about any of this, or at my friend. It is something that we discussed before hand. So if I am SOL that is ok, I know it won't hurt to ask anyway. Or if you can advise of a quick fix. I have thought about a cat tail for it but did not know if it would be a worse situation on the rubber cover Thanks, Greg edit: typo |

We would be happy to fix it for you if you want to send it in. Just call us at 1-800-426-0048. If you want to try and do it yourself you can roll the rubber ring back and use contact cement, which is what we use at the factory. As far as changing to the metal ring, unfortunately they aren't interchangeable at this time, however I believe that we are working on some that are interchangeable, but they aren't ready yet. I will have to contact the factory to find out what the lead time is on that. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!

Will do, thanks! I did glue the ring back on with Loctite GO2 glue and the rubber ring is better than new now.
