| I have been fighting with the search function for a while- I know I have seen this discussion somewhere, but I can't seem to locate the threads. The Colt civilian 16.1" M4 barreled upper conversion kit is the subject. IIRC some were RAS marked and some were blank when the carry handle was lifted off- any info on would be appreciated, or if you have the link to the old thread that would be great too. Thanks. |

I heard that there were a couple places that made the uppers, and one place marks them with white letters, which are considered to be the better uppers.... Also, I noticed my markings for my Colt Pre-Ban M4 upper (the identifiers, not the RAS markings) do not match the Colt Post-Ban M4 markings of the post-bans I saw at a recent gun show... That could be an indicator of which markings to look for... |
That looks like mine, but I have a pre-ban LE6920 M4 complete upper... |

Hey Grock-- can you take a picture of the markins on the RIGHT side (where it ejects the brass). I want to see why my markings are different, and if they match yours. I was told the reason may be since they use multiple places to build the upper receiver, and since they were making TONs of them for the military they could have various markings... |
