Just wanted to say that I am very impressed with my new RRA 16" midlength.  Finally got a chance to go do a little bench testing, and I was overwhelmed with the results.  Using my handload from one of my bolt actions, I sighted in at 50 yards using a Bushnell Holosight.  Having shot long range most of my life, I didn't get myself too excited at the tiny groups at just 50 yards.  I was also apprehensive about trying to shoot for accuracy at 100 yds with just a holosight (my first experience with a holosight).  When I moved the target out to 100 yards, I could not even see the bull (1" yellow bull on 1" grids), just a blank piece of paper.  I then took a 2" x 2" square piece of black tape and put it on the target over the center.  Shot 5 rounds and went to check the target.  Just blew me away.  I managed to shoot just under a 1/2" group!!!  Another 3 shot group right at 1/2"....then ran out of daylight.
Very impressed - can't wait to spend a little more time at the bench.

A friend (FFL holder) ordered about the 1st of November and I had it in about 8 weeks.  Couldn't be more pleased with the Rock River......definitely worth the wait.  I will try to get some pictures up soon.

Well, I just purchased my mid length two weeks ago.  All I need now is a scope of some sort.  I figured this would be the most appropriate place for my first post. I will post some pics once I figure this site out a little bit. So far, I am very impressed with my RRA. I plan on sighting it in next weekend.  I was also looking at the bushnell.  glad to be here.  I am also a proud member of the NRA.

I purchased from local store here in the AZ. Got lucky i guess.

EDIT: here is a pic.   Anyone know what model this is? All i got on the receipt was "LAR-15 1239x"

Since RRA is mil spec, would a 22lr conversion kit work?

Here's their page for that model number.  Mid-length A4.

I built myself a RRA mid length with all the trimmings about a month ago. I am very impressed with mine as well. I have had oodles of M4's and full lengths over the years, so this was new for me.

My Spike's Tactical .22LR conversion kit works fine in my RRA Entry Tactical. I did have some initial issues with the conversion kit hanging on the bolt catch, but I returned the conversion kit to Spike's, and got it back within a week. It has worked fine ever since.

Later in the day, I created a shell catcher from a box. It worked perfectly.
