Hi Ive been lurking here for a while and this is my first post so I hope I'm not pissing anyone off or beating a dead horse. I have had several complete order kits on order with RRA since 11/15/2008, at the time of my order they said it would be 10-12 weeks, at about 10 weeks they said it would be 12-16 weeks, Now 17+weeks later they simply say we can't tell you when we will ship them. I was just wondering if anyone here ordered from them at around that time and what you had heard from them or if you had gotten your parts yet. Thanks Travis |

Hmmm ... bought an Entry Tactical 2 weeks ago at a gun show in Dallas area. Has 2-stage trigger, Wilson barrel and Hogue grips. The dealer had about 4 of them showing - in 3 different configurations (A3 removable carry handle, flat top with removable rear sight and a flat top with tall peep sight graduated in 100-meter increments (don't know the terminology). He might have had more stashed out of sight.
All going for $1250 out the door. Must be a matter of where you are. Mike |

I mentioned elsewhere but I ordered a complete kit on 1/20/09. One fellow called and they told him 3-12 months. After a week or so I had to know if they had me in the queue at all. Actually got an e-mail back that the kits were 4-12 months. I believe I'll look around. I could have bought a complete rifle at a gun show two weeks ago for 1150. Obviously they're building rifles instead of selling parts. Sucks but makes sense.

I ordered a BCG and a Handle mount scope from RRA early last week, and was told the BCG was on backorder (no surprise).
I received shipping notification Mon or Tues of this week, and it arrived today, all good to go. Very pleased with the turn around time. Just another data point Jason |

i really appreciate the wait time issue - i bought mine at a gun show in November - $900 - and was told be happy because i will never see them again for that price, it i see them again. at every show i've been to since then, the min price has been $1200, and they are walking out the door = by Saturday PM they are sold out.
i like the "call the dealers" advice - to me it is preferable in case you need warranty support to walk in the door of the guy you purchased from. I hate shipping stuff off. |
| I ordered a CAR A4 thru a LE rep back on Oct 9th. At that time I was told 8 - 12 weeks. I waited for 18 weeks to pass and then contacted them to ask about my rifle. They had no clue what I was talking about. It ended up that somewhere between the LE rep and the factory they LOST my order! I have waited 25 weeks now and they won't tell me anything. Nothing about barrels or times, just nothing. You would think that after waiting that long and their mess up that they would have put my rifle towards the front of the order line. BUT I now figure since they won't answer my questions that they just put it at the end and are just avoiding me because they know I will have to wait another 20 friggin weeks and don't want to tell me. They won't even answer my e-mails anymore! That is making me regret ordering a Rock River if that is the way they treat their customers. I'm trying to get a hold of them to demand my money back, yes they have had my money since October, so that I can order from someone else. Someone who actually respects their customers. It's too bad because I was looking forward to this rifle. There have been other officers in my department who ordered well after me and have already received theirs. Hell, six weeks ago another officer ordered a Bushmaster and he got it a few days ago. Rock River has ruined their reputation with me and others who have watched what I have gone thru. |

in 2006 we ordered some RRA stuff and it was a few weeks past when it should have come in. that was in the more "normal" times. now that things are insane i don't even bother to ask when i'll see my order. yesterday i ordered a few uppers and some parts and never asked when i would see them. i had just hung up the phone with LMT who told me January on my upper order (May 2010 on the CQB's and MRP's). so i knew that RRA would never be able to give me a time that was close to correct. ehh, oh well. the nice lady did hint that if i ordered just barrels that there was NO lead time on them. all orders for uppers would be filled before i got any barrels. so i doubled my upper order. it's the same with YHM, J&T, Vltor, SABRE and the rest of the AR industry. i just order what i want and forget about it. it'll show up sooner or later. White Oak told me 6 weeks on some barrels back in January and when i called on monday i was told that it hadn't been 18 weeks yet! WTF? i was told 6 weeks and now you're telling me it should have been 18? that would have been nice to know sooner than later. i guess i'll suck it up and call the customer and let him down slow. all of them are good products and i don't mind the long lead times. it is what it is, the majority of voters (real or acorn) put us in this situation so............. i understand the gripe when you are given a time line and then it comes and goes with no satisfaction. i never take the lead time as "set in stone". best thing i can do is what i tell my customers "if you want it, order it now and i'll call you when it shows up. if you move or change phone numbers don't forget to let me know." you have the piece of mind that you'll get what you want and don't have to spend all day on-line watching for one to pop up so you can fight it out with 5,000 other people to get it. or pay well over MSRP to get a used one in the EE |

Go to the RRA website. Find the dealer section. Call VERY dealer in your state, and any states close enough to drive to.
After reading hwo everybody was waiting for 6 months to get a rifle, I found a new Entry Tactical at a dealer 1 hour away. I drove right down and got it for $1089. This all happened 10 days ago. During my calls, I found some more PA dealers who had them in stock. I also found dealers with complete lowers and uppers. But you have to call 15 dealers. |
| I've placed a few orders in the past few months for smaller parts (BCG parts and a buffer spring) and received them in less than 2 weeks. I just ordered every lower part except for the FCG last week, and just received notice that it's shipping. So certain parts are available, seems like barrels and complete uppers are the problem. |

It went up 100 bucks ($1199) from the time I got off the phone and when I arrived in the store. Told the dealer (Who I kinda know) that it went up $100 bucks. He said, I got 5 guys behind you who will take it. I took it... |
| I feel after reading this thread that I fell for a trap. I ordered a RRA LPK for my EA striped lower and it said nothing about a long wait time though I figured there was but the site didn't say so till AFTER I made my order. Anyone know how long a LPK will take since its not a barrel and not a rifle? |
|
Quoted: As long as they can sell every every complete rifle they can build, they will probably not have any kits or barrels available because they make more on complete rifles. This is EXACTLY what I think is happening with a certain handguard maker. I've had a handguard - just a handguard - on order for 13 weeks. There is little doubt in my mind that every handguard they make is going on their complete rifle packages, even if the order for the rifle was put in after my part order. I'm starting to get pretty pissed about it, but it's the only handguard I really want, so I have to wait. |
| Just pulled the trigger on a A4 SS middy order a few minutes ago. I'm a patient man and don't want to get my expectations up. I figure if I'm VERY lucky, it'll be here for Christmas. If I'm just lucky, it'll be here for my birthday (next February). I'm just going to try and forget about it and be surprised by the shipping notification e-mail at some point in the future. My main concern is getting it before any ban gets passed. |

I ordered a barrel from them last October and called them 2 weeks ago. They told me that I may have to wait up to 2 years for a barrel. I am not happy. I've been thinking about trying to roll my own from stainless steel. This would do it for me. /me goes off to read up on sine bars... |

I am keeping my CAR upper order on with RRA. I orded in early March and was quoted 12 - 16 weeks (yeah, right). Can never have enough uppers. Actually a good excuse to build a third rifle. ;) |

I wish someone from RRA would give us an idea as to what components are out of stock and are causing production delays. Judging by the past two posts, looks like they got a shipment of 24in bull barrels in and are working these orders. I would assume that chrome lined barrels are the culprit, but it would be nice to hear from RR what exactly is going on.
Has anyone recently received a upper in 16 inch chrome lined configuration? If so, what are the first couple of digits of your order number? |
| I got some information on my rifle order yesterday. I was told that the long wait to fill the back orders is caused by the barrels. Apparently they only get shipments of a couple hundred in every so often. I was told that my rifle should be in line to be made when they get their next barrel shipment in. Of course I have waited for six months and only now got any information on the order. They expect a barrel shipment sometime this week so we will see if what they told me holds true or if they were just blowing smoke up my rear. |
| Ah well just think when it gets here it will be like Christmas in Spring....unless it takes till Christmas then it will be Christmas in Christmas. But that would kinda be like a ffm threesome, without the girls and with a greasy new rifle? Ah hell I dont know. 21 weeks for me :D |

I contacted the people who ordered my carbine (5.56), today, and asked about the scuttle-butt on waiting times. They do a large amount of business nationwide. Here was the reply, for what it's worth:
–– The 308's are behind about a year but that had nothing to do with the election. Rock River Arms has been pretty much on their delivery dates for our Business. Remember since the Election all MFG's are giving us their best guess.
Currently Rock River is telling us 20-22 weeks. I hope this was helpful. –– I should note, too, that their response is meant to answer the expected wait time for a new order. |

Travis, it don't look good. RRAs so backed up, many of us are waiting well over 6 months with no word if they even started our project builds or not.
Mine was ordered Oct 13 and it will be 28 weeks Monday for a A4 rifle with a Daniel Defense rail. I'm currently building another rifle because of the uncertainties with RRA. It's a little more expensive this way but at least it will be assembled soon. I figure another 2 weeks for my build to be complete. I am still waiting on a barrel but by searching for the stuff needed it's slowly coming together. Only the barrel...I now have everything else...... |
