I am going to buy a RR and I think I want a Elite Comp. Who is this gun geared toward? I will be punching paper with mine, self defense if the *hit hits the fan and just general fun type shooting(i know all shooting is fun). I am trying to figure out which RR is right for me. The only thing I really have to compare it to is my brothers Entry Tact. . The Elite Comp looks bad to the bone, my problem is I probably would not be able to put my hands on one before I ordered it. Thanks for the help.

Good question.
I think I'll be ordering one tomorrow. I'll be mounting an eotech or aimpoint.

Not really geared specifically towards any one segment of the shooting community, and it has already had very good response from shooters who plan on using it in a number of applications, including 3-gun and action shooting events.

More questions. Your site says available 2nd quater '08. Does that mean that's when they'll ship? If I order today, when could I expect it to get to me? Thanks.

We'll be shipping in the second quarter of this year.  If you order now, your back order will be filled in date order once they are shipping.

All,

Has anybody actually held one? I was wondering how much room the hand guard had and how comfortable the placement was. I also would like to use EOtech with hopes for a magnifier later on, is there room on the rail?

Thanks

RedDirt,
The rail on the upper receiver is the same length as any other A4.  There would not be room on the hand guard's rail for both an EOTech and a magnifier.

As the elite comps are schedualled for shipment during the second quarter, I was wondering if this projection still holds true. At this point in time, is a new order of an elite comp still projected to follow the 8-12 week turnaround time of other RRA AR-15's or will it's new product status serve to push the timeline out a bit more?

Thanks

First releases in second quarter, with older orders shipping prior to new orders...an order placed now will still probably be second quarter (we're in Q2 in a week), but late in it.
