| i just picked up the ASAP mount and the new GEN2 sling the other day.... on a 1 to 10 this is a 8.5, i should have waited for the gen 3 to come out but saw it at my gun shop and got one. only complaints is that the sling is a bit too thin, i would rather see a 1" or 1.5" nylon webing and the front sling QD hook can unlatch it's self if not used on the "coprrect" front mount. |

I'd like to see Magpul develope rear sling adapters for shotguns for use with the MS2 and 3. Simple enough I'd think. The redesign of the MS3 might negate it though, as the newer snap hooks seem more compatable with existing mounts. Still, me want.
Then I can move the MS2 to my shotgun and run the MS3 on my rifle. Come on RSA! |
when i got my MS2 i put it on my SBR and liked it, then i tried it out on my MK14 EBR clone and liked it even more. i'm going to have to mess with it a bit more but i'm defiantly going to use one on that too. i just like the ability to go from 1pt to 2 so i can sling it on my back or out of the way when i transition to my 9mm. 1pts are nice but unless you have at least on hang on the firearm when moving they can swing a bit too much for my liking. i'm gonna be so broke this summer

| is there somewhere i can look to see what the improvements are going to be on the 2ng GEN ASAP sling mount? i don't think you can improve on it much more other than making it out of a harder metal. the sling i have is scared a bit from use already and i don't just mean the finish is scratched. |

Oh I think i could use a little improvement. I kinda like being able to tighten my buffer tube castle nut. I don't know how they would accomplish it though. |
