You cant ask for a better recommendation...

From an interview with Travis Haley in the current issue of Recoil magazine.

" the most precise and most practical weapon system for precision shooting is the LaRue Tactical OBR. I can lug it through the woods and hit up to 1,700 meters consistently."

If you haven't picked up a copy of this magazine I strongly recommend it. By far the best shooting/gear rag I have stumbled across.

Found my copy at Seatac while fiying to CLT via MSP.  Looked for it at other newsstands in all three airports since I had never heard of it. Wasn't carried anywhere else. I like it and would like to subscribe.

I subscribe via Zinio, but I saw it in the local B&N when I was looking for the Sniper annual.

B&N has it.  Seems they get a stack in and when they are gone, they are gone.

They are currently doing quarterly issues...if the response is great then they might make it an 8 issue mag or 12 w/a subscription  available so spread the word

The latest issue said they've bumped it up to bi-monthly issues.

Yep, that's what I read as well.  I paid $14.95 for an electronic subscription - 1 year and got 2 months free, which should be one extra Issue for 7 total.

Saw a dude carry one onto the Southwest flight I was on today ...

He headed to the back in a full plane or I'd of arm wrestled him for his copy.

My friend just introduced me to this mag the other week, it's a great one, and I will def be buying it if I can ever find a copy anywhere. Hopefully enough of this magazine sells to keep it going.

That's nothing compared to the Magpul Precision Rifle DVD, that's a LaRue lovefest

I bought the two issues of Recoil on my iPad. Kind of mostly eye candy. Not terribly in depth articles, just cool pictures with short descriptions. Unfortunately I think it looks better in person than on the iPad because of the resolution. It's more of lifestyle mag than anything else but it reminded me a little of those Surefire mags with gorgeous pictures of the equipment and kind of cotton candy articles.
