So I just picked one up and I think I will try it out on my SBR.
It is setup with Magpul MBUS Gen 2.
mounted the green dot views right over the MBUS when they are down.
The MBUS has a clear view over the top of the reflex when up and has nothing blocking the sight picture either way.

The cover that comes with it would be more useful if it was rubber rather than hard plastic. I will have to figure a way to have the cover connected to dangle when the sights are in use to better keep track of the top. I am thinking some 550 cord and a hot glue gun or something along those lines.(suggestions welcome)

I picked the Primary Arms reflex to see how I liked the reflex on my SBR before I drop around $400 on a Deltapoint or RMR. When I make the change I can mount the Primary on a .22 caliber plinker.
pictures tomorrow.

think the hard plastic cover could be replaced with a rubber cover with an attachment point on the mount?

That way you can grab and go and the top is on securely (rub fits snugger) and when you take it off it is right there to replace it.

pics?

i was thinking of using this as a primary on my .22... what mount are you using?

I do shoot scrunched up anyway, but i ordered a 1/2" Burris riser from Midway today to improve it. I will try it both ways.

Interesting! I might have to grab one of these for the .22 pistol I'm slowly putting together.

I am just curious if there are any other types of covers for it or any plans to change it to better fit the sight so that it doesn't fly off.

A bungee setup that held the hard plastic cover on tighter would even help out.

I found the Green dot works best with the 1/2" YHM mini riser.
Now if I could tone down the green dot!

yeah I went with the 1/2 riser also the green dot is okay when it is outside. The is basically the stand in for my Deltapoint

Next gen needs to have a manual switch.

The next gen needs a lot of improvements. I think there's a market for one that's at the $125 price point and does away with the more common niggles of the current dot (namely, the screw controls, lack of manual off, lack of manual brightness controls, and the overly large dot) and adds QD. It could even be larger in terms of length...

We are working on a upgraded waterproof version. The current one will stay in the lineup and the feedback for the updated one is welcome. We won't see it until next year.

I find in well lit rooms the dot stars and it makes it hard to get a clear sight. I would look into a riser combo for it also.

This is good to hear. I am interested in the new updated unit. I will hold off buying one until then. Marsh, you will get more of my money for one but, not just..........yet......

I'd love to see one in a dull Silver color to match my Marinecote mossberg 500 and silver 10/22's!

Just got to say it again... MANUAL POWER SWITCH!

[#24]
I'm thinking about trying one of these on a Fastfire mount on my Ruger 22/45.  I mostly use this pistol for steel challenge matches.  Any opinions on this combo?

How does the lack of a power switch affect the battery life?  How long does it stay on once this pistol is put into the dark (pistol case)?

Any estimate on when the upgraded version will come out?  I'd hate to buy this one now only to have a better version come out in a month.

as long as you keep the lid on when not in use it last a good while. I haven't had the time to test the battery life and take it to the range as much as i would like.

I've just about decided to try the micro reflex on my Ruger 22/45 to use for Steel Challenge.  I've also decided to swap my PA micro from my Noveske to my M&P 15-22 to also shoot in Steel Challenge.  I guess that I'll be Team Primary Arms .

Now my Noveske will need a new optic.  Eotech, ACOG, or variable low power scope?  Decisions, decisions...

For those of you using the risers, the 1/2" risers that you guys are using, do they clamp on the rail, or slide on then tighten with a screw?  Reason I ask is, I recently put one of these on an old SCA upper dedicated to my Lage .22 conversion, for my M11/9.  Due to the location of the sites, I can't slide a riser on, it'll have to clamp on.  TIA

Any word on a possible replacement cover that stays on better

Would it be possible to offer a mini-reflex sight with a different mounting hole/peg pattern? I ask this specifically if it would be possible to imitate the Trijicon RMR mounting pattern.

The biggest problem with all of these mini red dot systems is that mounting systems will differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Luckily some of the manufacturers utilize the same system so, for example, you can swap from a Primary Arm Green Reflex to a Burris Fast Fire II.

I would love to mill my slide out and try a electronic dot mounting on a pistol but, the price of a Trijicon RMR is too expensive for just curiosity and dabbling with a different sight. It'd be a niche market but having a 5MOA mini dot that uses the same mount pattern as a RMR means you can cater to those who want to try a dot mounted pistol.

I have one of these on the way and I'm bringing this thread back from it's slumber to ask a question.

For those of you that might know:  What is the thread/pitch of the threaded clamp stud?  I want to replace the thumb screw/nut with a nylock nut since I will not need any kind of QD capability on my particular application.

I'm thinking it might be metric but do not know.

Another question.

Am I getting this right, the mini does NOT have the same mounting as such as the FastFire and the RMR and Etc...?

I was looking to run one on my AK and before I did an order this is a question that I need to know.

Thanks.

It will fit anything the Burris fast fires will fit (as well as the docters).

I am going to post here and this will be my last post about this subject.....

Any kind of ETA or time frame on when you might have more of the reflex sights instock?  I called yesterday was told they have NO clue whats so ever with them.... Really appreciate any info marshall on this.  Don't wanna keep posting and bothering you all with this question but would like some form of an answer.

+1....

I also find that the cover does not turn the optic off. I can always see the green shining from under the hood

Will these still fit the burris fastfire mount?  My Father in law purchased a fastfire mount and has been waiting on these to come back into stock.  If they will fit, ill be ordering one.  And yes, I know they used to fit the fastfire mounts.  Im not sure if this is the "new" style or not.  Thanks!

These are a improved version of the old style and will fit FF mounts.
