Was looking to get my hbar barrel reprofiled to lightweight, but I had a question: With reprofiling the barrel I wanted to do under handguards & infront of the gas block.  Do u guys reprofile the area around the gas block or just leave it at .750??
And another question how much extra weight does the reprofiling infront of the gasblock take off? I have a midlength HBAR

Thanks!
Justin

We can leave the GB area .750, or reduce it to .625. If reduced, you would need a new GB. They look just fine when left at .750.

Probably only looking at 2 to 3 oz when doing in front of the gas block, on a standard Hbar. So, in my opinion, not worth doing unless that is the "look" you are going for.

If I have the entire barrel reprofiled down to .625, can you guys bring the area under the GB down to .625, but leave the GB contact points.750?  That way the .750 GB can still be used yet the barrel will look .625.  Thanks.

Yes, we can do that.

I'm looking at having a 16" stainless barrel cut down to 14.5" and reprofiled to .565.  Is that even possible?

Also would the gas block seat need to stay at .625 or is there a gas block out there that would fit a .565 barrel?

.625" is the smallest without a custom built one.

We do NOT recommend going under about .700 with Stainless.

As stated about, you would need a custom gas block, and we don't do that, and not sure of anyone that does.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply.

Now going back to the drawing board...
