Is the Revolution 45 rated for subsonic 458 Socom? I don't intend to run full power 458 Socom through it, but thought subsonic ought to be fine. Can you let me know for certain?

Sorry we're stupid busy with getting last minute show season prep nocked out and the Optimus launch.
The bullet is .004" larger, that's probably not a big deal especially if you mount it on a fixed mount (better alignment than a piston). Subsonic .458 should be near identical to .45 ACP from a pistol at about 16" of barrel length and that's probably a decent threshold for a minimum barrel length given you can launch 500 grain projectiles with .458. If you have a shorter barrel and tailor a load comparable to .45ACP that would be the way to make that work. AKA 250grain at 900FPS would be safe in a 5" barrel. |
