It will absolutely work just fine (as I have done it many times); however the Omega family of rails is designed to be a drop in rail utilizing the existing delta assembly. The Omega X family of rails is designed more to be used in conjunction with low profile gas blocks utilizing its proprietary barrel nut while still maintaining the same profile of the Omega. |

The Omega is not designed to accomodate a cut down FSB and will likely not work the way you are wanting it to. In order to make this upgrade to your weapon as you are wanting to, it would be best to install a low profile gas block that is designed to be used in conjunction with a rail. |
