It's an old scope I had sitting in a box of spare parts an it works.
As for how it's mounted, what's wrong with it? Not being sarcastic, I really don't know. I'm an Aimpoint/Eotech shooter primarily and this is the first scope I have ever mounted with rings. I installed the rail, the put the rings on the scope and adjusted its position until the eye relief was right for me. So educate me please. |

Scope is good for .22 (some may want/ need an adjustable objective). Turrets centered (not important). Looks good for busting clays 'n all other .22 targets of opportunity. Maybe they think you need a high end scope ... Your good to go with swapping your other optics which is good (cuts down cost). |

I know you'll b happier with an upgrade when it's feasible. |

In my head it makes sense that way. Yeah, it's a cheap scope but for me it's good enough for a 10/22. I wanted a better base and LaRue made one. I like to support LaRue so I bought new rings too. The base and rings probably cost more than the rifle did way back when it was bought (15 or 20 years ago). |

Notice I didn't mind the scope Yeah, they are marked. In my head it makes sense that when I am adjusting windage (on top) I rotate the knob to the left or right and when I adjust elevation (on the side) I rotate the knob up or down. I also just noticed that the logo on one of my scopes is not positioned properly but if the scope was rotated it would be.
Hmm. Now to figure out if I should change them to the right way or continue doing it wrong because it works for me. |

I suppose you could just flip it around and, given a perfect dead nuts zero, it should be pretty close afterwards. |

I don't think anybody said the 10/22 was cheap just that the base and rings cost more than the rifle. It was a tongue in cheek comment. I originally bought a 10/22 because it was inexpensive to buy and shoot. That didn't workout so well for me.
Finish - The factory finish looks like ass. This will be a good gun to test my Cerakoting skills. Scope - That rimfire scope would work but this other scope is so much better and it's 40% off so it's not that much more expensive. Supressor - This suppressed Buckmark has to be the funnest thing I own. I suppose I should turn my 10/22 into a host too. Ammo - This bulk ammo is dirty and runs like shit with the suppressor. I guess I should shoot the good stuff. Barrel - Well I need a different barrel now that I have a suppressor. Stock - I need a new stock that works with this new barrel. Scope base - LaRue makes a 10/22 scope base. Damn that's cool, I need one. The factory base sucks any way. Mag release - This thing is a pain in the ass. I need an extended one. Charging handle - This thing is a pain in the ass too, especially with a scope. I need an extended one. I'm still working on collecting the parts but that's how I've justified what I've bought and plan to buy. Up until this point I've resisted upgrading the trigger but I'm sure it will happen eventually. |

I was thinking about getting another one until I realized the only thing I wouldn't be changing on it was the receiver... ![]() You missed the page! Try replacing the receiver with one from Vorquartson! Got mine from a dealer in NJ that was red, he even special ordered a red trigger group for me. Rimfirecentral.com can be as bad as BRD. Boyds stocks in SD are another good source of 10/22 clone stocks. Have fun, though a Stealth upper might be cheaper! |
