I have a S3G installed in a MK18-ish build and I've been having problems (mostly when suppressed) with the hammer following the BCG.  It doesn't happen that often, maybe twice in every 100 rounds, but the gun will cycle fine and fully lock into battery but the trigger fails to reset.  I have to rack the charging handle to reset.

At first I thought maybe it was a problem with my BCG or something but, having tried 3 different carriers now and still having the issue, I'm thinking it's the trigger.

Have you guys had anybody else come to you with this problem?  I searched google last night but couldn't really come up with anything.  Is it just something I'm causing with technique issues, sort of like the unintentional bump firing that can occur with the S3G?  I pulled the trigger out and looked it over and nothing stood out to me as being "off" but I, admittedly, probably wouldn't know any better if there was something off.

Despite the issues I occasionally have, I love this trigger.  I just wish I could run it with 100% confidence 100% of the time and right now I can't.

Any suggestions?

not really sure on whats causing that but id like to know what you find out.  I had a timney trigger that i replaced with an SD3G for the same reason.  I used both suppressed with an m4-2000.

I do have the heavier, gold colored spring installed.  I have no doubt Geissele will take care of me but I just thought I'd ask here first in case it was possibly something with an easy fix.  I'll call the shop this week.  Thanks for the reply.

I just thought I'd update this in case somebody else has issues, now or in the future.  I hate when I have a problem, do a search, find somebody with the exact same issue that finds a solution but doesn't post a follow up.

Geisseles' customer service was outstanding in fixing this (no surprises there).  They sent me a brand new S3G and a return envelope for mine.  To be honest I wasn't expecting to see any differences in the new trigger and the one I was having issues with.  I figured it was something else but I had tried other things as stated in the OP.  However, once I got my new trigger and compared it to the old one I did notice two differences.

I took my new S3G out today and ran 100 trouble free rounds both suppressed and unsuppressed.  No reset problems; I was very happy.  That's not enough for me to declare problem solved but the results were much better than I was getting before.

Anyway, thanks again to Geissele for all the help.
