Hey guys, I'm rebuilding my SP1 I got a trade and looking to restore it to Colt factory specs. The last part I need is the upper receiver.
The S/N is 578XX I believe this puts the rifle between 1976-1977, would the correct forge code be CM or did they have additional forge codes that would be correct. I'm looking to buy one, if anyone knows where one could be had please let me know. |

I looked through my SP-1's and the closest serial number I have to yours is 70,6xx. It has the C M forge marking. I have a few more above 80,000 and they all have the C M code. My earlier guns, under 20,000, do not have forge codes. Robert, that code seems to be the most consistent with SP1's in that production year. I should be just fine going with that, now I have to find one. Thank you. |
