Is it reasonable to expect zero parallax error with a SPARC at 100 yards?
I know the specs say zero parallax beyond 50 yards but this is what I am finding with my SPARC. At 100 yards with the rifle in the a shooting vise and the red dot on the target when sighting looking down the center of my SPARC everything is OK. Now if I move my head from side to side I notice the dot moving in respect to the target (remember to rifle is in a vise), enough so that it comes off a man sized target. Is this to be expected? Thanks |

Thanks That seems excessive to me. I've never seen a red dot that had absolute zero movement, but I would only expect about 1-2 inches at 100 yards. Is the movement only when you put the dot near the extreme edge of the field of view, or does it move that much close the the center of the FOV? If it's at the extreme edge then that is probably normal. If not, give us a call and talk with customer service and we should be able to have it looked at and find out if we need to fix/replace it for you. You can reach them at 1-800-426-0048. If there is anything else I can do just let me know. |

Quoted: No problem. Just let us know. We'd be happy to look at it for you if you think there's a problem. Thanks Sam, Next time out I will take a good look at this and get back to you. It is my feeling that this may be a inherent artifact of the design. Thanks again for your reply. |
