Hello,

I see Brownells now has both the CS-Carbon Steel and SS-Stainless Steel 22 conversions.

Am I better off with the stainless steel conversion?

Does it jam less since it doesn't have the oxide finish on it?

I still get FTE's with the CS one I have when using high vel ammo. Std Vel works better.

Thanks

Here is a better deal unless you have a C&R and get dealer pricing at Brownells. Then at dealer price and free shipping on purchases over $150 July 2-5, Brownells is the logical choice.
ps - @t Palmetto they use BDM magazines

Thanks for the reply but I'm more concerned if the stainless steel model jams less and has fewer FTE's. Just noticed the free shipping at Brownells and noticed they have the SS conversions.

I have the stainless it it has been outstanding. Easy to clean, very reliable. I have not tried the CS CMMG. I did have a Ciener that run fine but would get dirty quicker because of the amount of lube to run it.
The stainless take very little lube. I put 1 drop on each rail.
The Parkerized takes more lube generally to run well. More lube =more crud build up.
The stainless requires little or no break in.
I have had a total of 7 FTE's with my SS CMMG. 3 FTE's from the first mag, 4 when it got dirty. Cleaned it and it ran fine.
I have 1150 rounds through it so far.
