Don't know if people heard of this today, but thought people would like to know. I'm too young to have any kids myself, but my heart goes out to all parents. I don't know what i would do if my kids were ever put into this situation.

This is a horrendous tragedy and my heart goes out to all involvd, That said according to an author whp has just written several articles on mass shootings, defined as 4 ot more people not including the shooter  who die in an episode. Accordin to the author there have been 61 episodes, with an average of 150 fatalities each year over the last 20  years. As firearms enthusiasts we need to show how firearms have saved, protected people over this period if we are able to obtain this data. I feel we are heading into an extremely negative firearm period and we need to be politically proactive abd present a positive front to help deflect the comingnegative publicity which our liberal media and.  Democrats will keep in the front of the news.

I can't believe 20 kids won't be able to wake up Christmas morning to open Presents this year!  Senseless is all I can come up with!

Yep, sad that Mark actually now sells the backpack shield and when my son starts Kindergarten I'll probably buy it for him.

Also, push your legislators for the next session that teachers should be allowed to CCW on school grounds, though I would like the provision that it must be on their physical person at all times.  My wife has two professions one is Chem E, the other is a licensed teacher.  I would like her to have the ability to defend herself and her students lives.  I don't expect her to hunt down a school shooter, but it would be better than the hide and fight video that homeland security put out for office shootings where they hide in the break room and get ready to fight back with chairs and swinging a fire-extinguisher...  Heck in reality anyone with a CCW should be allowed on school grounds but I'd settle for the teachers/staff as a start!  It was a bill in the previous session but due to grandstanding by the former speaker it never got a floor vote, we need it to be put back up and into law in TX!

That being said:
God be with the children in your arms now, with their families and friends left behind, and with the family of the teacher and the shooter for their pain and suffering is no less important in your eyes.  Let us not in anger and frustration stop anyone's rights both to defend themselves/their family/their country nor at the same time ever let us lose the right to worship and speak as we see fit.

God bless everyone, pray for peace, but defend us and let us defend ourselves from evil as each one of us sees fit for us and our families.
