Dear ARFcommers!

I managed to lockthe screws on my LT 104 with EASILY removable Loctite, I had SUCH difficulties in getting them out, so I dont trust them anymore. Anyway, 2 are screwed up - really ;-)

What is the size of these screws, and where do I get some?

I did some searching on this Forums, but couldn´t find an answer. Furthermore I contacted LaRue, but no answer so far.

TIA, Hemann

Mark,
Didn't you know the best time to play with guns is when you get home from the bars? : )

THANKS!

No, I don´t play with my guns after Midnight , it was MIDDAY here in Austria ... surprisingly many Black Rifle Lovers there ( and in Europe, where allowed by Law, in general ).

I didn´t call, partially because of Time Zone reasons, I did fill in the contact form on your Homepage.

Thanks in advance, Hermann

It happens... I messed up one of the torx holding on the grip adapter panel.  Used a dremel tool and cut it so I could take it off with a flat head screw driver.

I've been there too!  Even bought the drill bits to remove stripped screws and it didn't work.  I hate T screws.

LAST SCREW OUT!

A friend drilled away the screw head, took apart the ring halves, and there was just enought thread there to get a grip with a wrench!

Paid with Beer, of course :-)

Now I just need the screws, and I am back shooting ( ahem, not that I have nothing else to shoot ... :-)))

We both are the opinion, that the screws were GLUED in by the gunsmith, not just secured with easy disassemble Loctite, like I do.

PLEASE LaRue, where to send how much Money?

Thnks to all, Hermann

( and I am glad, that I am not the only one who had that problem )

Silly clamhop. Everybody knows you have to break down the rifle first...
It helps get things clean if they are able to bang around a bit on "gentle."
