Hello Aim...
Was just wondering about tracking shipments of firearms..... I placed an order on 5/28 for a WASR (order #28668) then received email notice on 6/1 that the rifle had been transferred to my FFL, but have yet to receive any tracking number on my end to monitor its status (yes, I am an impatient bastard and hate the suspense  ). Is there any way to get my grubby hands on the tracking#? If not, no big deal really. I'll just have to on my dealer to call.

I'm not sure as to what's going on here but I always get tracking numbers emailed to me when things ship, even the stuff with free shipping? Me too....this was my first rifle purchase from AIM and didn't realize that tracking #s didn't go out with them. I've always gotten one for other merchandise though. As you can see, AIMs CS is top notch... |

ok, here is the deal,
the Cincinnati office of ATF had a case where some customers got the tracking #s for their packages, went to UPS, got the packages, and never contacted their dealer, kept the guns.....once they figured the system out, they continued to do it for their buddies, finally when the guns came up on ATF searches the system was figured out, customers were prosecuted..... Now guess whats a hot button at our local ATF office?????? it had nothing to do with us, but now our local branch has advised us not to issue tracking #s to customers. WE WILL track them for you and tell you when it will be there, and we will give the tracking # to you once its been delivered in case that helps the dealer locate it |

I talked to my dealer this a.m. about the WASR noted in my OP....said that he has it ready for pick up. |

I was SUPER impatient and wanted my SGL31 immediately. I called up Aim and asked how much longer it would be; they said "It'll be at your dealer tomorrow"
I understand why tracking numbers cannot go out, but if you call them and ask, they will give you the date that it is expected to arrive at your dealer. |
