Ok just got off the phone with SilencerCo. In order for the FFL to participate they have to buy from a specific distributor. We purchase direct from SilencerCo so we will not be part of the program. We can handle Texas transfers for Texas customers that purchase out of state.

(But you can't buy a Blue Label can from out of state, at least according to the guy running the program).

According to SilencerCo you can purchase it from one distributor and then send it to your FFL.

The guy running the program posted this:

If I may I may be able to shine some light on this subject as I most familiar with it. My name is Matt Kennedy and I am the above distributer being referenced.

With that said let me help some of your alls questions. First, the program is set up in a way where there will be no transfer cost past on to the end user (LE,Military, First Responder). Dealers will have an opportunity to sell directly to the following individuals at a reduced price. A SilencerCo "SPEC" dealer may not and can not sell to indivuals out of there state. Transfer will be directly from SilencerCo "SPEC" Distributer to "SPEC" dealer and then transfered to the end user I.E. LE/Military and First Responders and others listed on the program. It will be key that these individuals contact there local dealers and ask if they are part of this program. Some will and some will not be. There will be select dealers in each state and areas that will be able to transfer these reduced cost products to the end users. Those being SilencerCo "SPEC" dealers just like Glock Blue label dealers. Hope this helps some.

And then followed up with this:

Any dealer that is caught selling out of state will be removed from the SilencerCo "SPEC" program no questions asked. Dealer will need to show proof of every silencer sold to each participating customer. There are many checks and balances which will hold dealer accountable. Might there be a few that slip through the cracks? Sure...., but dealer will be caught and removed entirely from program. This is to protect participating program buyers as well as the dealers. LE/Military/ First responder is the same price no matter what state you are in. All the same. Individuals will not/ must not pay more then the determined program price.

That's the info I had that caused me to make the statement about buying out of state.

Do you have to buy it as an individual? If so then most of those people will not be able to buy one, due to Cleo sign off, anyway.

Furthermore, if you can only order through one distributor then this isn't really a SilencerCo Blue Label Discount. Instead, its more of a "ABC Distributor Blue Label Discount" because your options are now limited to a smaller pool of stores that deal with "ABC Distributions."

It is cool.that someone is doing this though. If it was mainly backed by SilencerCo then I highly doubt they would give so much power to one Distro.. Could be wrong though.

Not arguing but SilencerCo told us that if an FFL wants to be part of the program then they have to purchase from one distributor. Since we purchase direct from SilencerCo we can't just do Blue Label silencers from this other distributor. Jason Schauble from SilencerCo is coming by the store today so we will have more clarification then. However in previous conversations this is what he said.

I'm sure y'all will work it out.

I know they've waived the requirement for brick & mortar as well, if the situation calls for it. So all the "rules" are more like "guidelines", and open for discussion based on individual circumstances.
