I assume the receivers are 7075T6 while the Handguard is 6000 series. Gonna be damn near impossible to get anodizing to match exactly. I’d rather have a superior finish such as anodizing that is mismatched than some sprayed on cerakote that is matching. YMMV.

A coat of oil with a wipe down resolved the issue. IIRC it was what you said about the differing types of stock. |

6061 and 7075 aren't going to take the dye the same in anodizing. That's the difference in the receivers and handguard.

The LT RO combos had the same issue, mine shot sub MOA typical of my other LT rifles so I got over it.

View Quote You might want to take a better look at the website. The color difference is, in fact, visible. The color is fine. The upper is likely a different stock than the lower and hand guard, and looks better than SCAR or ACR ever did. Happy with mine. It’s like complaining about a Sig P320 M17/M18 or a Glock 19X have two tones. It’s not junk, it’s the way the different metals and/or finish blast affect how the anodize turns out. Shoot it or sell it. Attached File |

Mine has the color difference. Not a big deal. Looks good and I'm sure it'll drive tacks.

Enjoy, y'all. I had to bow out. No $2K available right now and its hard to justify 'yet another 16" 5.56 rifle', _even_ a LaRue, even if its damn pretty.
Hopefully this leads to more cool selections for you down the road. I was hoping for a new list.... |

Dammit! This got stuck in my junk mail and never saw it. I get orders and updates from Larue all the time. Never once been filtered. I wonder why this one was?

Ditto. A longer barrel, or a different caliber, I would have done a lot to make that possible. I already have a pretty 16" 5.56 in Rearden Oxide and a small batch of black ones.
I also had problems with the email announcing this not showing up; fortunately a friend pinged me. Still hoping for a new list. But if Mark continues this for the truly stubborn and monetarily endowed, more power to them. |

after a couple months with the black and tan i must say it runs like a raped ape, just hit 1000 rounds with zero malfunctions and only one clean at 500 rounds just cause i was changing the muzzle device to run my tranquillo,
i still wish the color match was better but as far as reliability it gets a a+ both suppressed and unsuppressed. now the question is was that the end of the build AR? |
|

Just wondering, is this the same list going from 2015? I was on the original list but only made it about two years 😂

Ok, I'm in. I have been on numerous lists and most of them weren't the good kind.

I had to drop out with the black and tan offering. May have been a blessing in disguise though because I would have used BuilAR GC’s for it. Instead I used them for the Siete.

I’m going to finally use the case when my Siete gets delivered. I may stuff the black and tan in there for flex.
