I wanted an E2D with LED vs a Scout Light but didn't realize that it had that two stage tail cap.  This two stage function isn't good for a weapon mounted light.  Is there anything which can be done to solve this issue.  Thanks

I think it would make a hell of a weapon light. I have one for personal use and I love it! Its not a two stage like some other Surefire lights where u push in a little for low and more for high. This one you push it once for high and then off and on again for low. And it clicks for constant on too, don't have to twist the tail cap. Nice and light as well. I think it would make a nice light mounted to a gun IMO.

bwall85,

I have used it in training but didn't like it.  If you keep the light on once it is switched on, that's fine.  The problem is the dual modes do not allow me to rapidly turn the light on/off/on and keep the same lumen output.  If I toggle it too fast, I get that low 5 lumen output which is shit for room clearing or searches.

I'm pretty sure there's a LED head you can buy for the E2E that has only one output. It can be put on an E2D. That might be more of what you're looking for! Not sure of the product number though.

The Surefire KX2C (same head as the M600C) will have the same high output as the E2DL w/out the low mode and is a perfect match for the E2DL but it will be a bit pricey... contact us (email or by phone) and we'll go over the options so you can get the most for your $.

Thanks,
Kevin
