That's ok Brother.    No official date set but we did have a working prototype at SOFIC show a few weeks back. Thank you.

Will it be narrow enough to mount via keymod at 10 or 2 on a Bravo Co KMR or Noveske NSR?

Does the taps switch need a battery?

Unrelated

Do the Steiner weapon lights have a double tap latching mechanism. Like the dbal.

[#8]
T.A.P.S. will have an internal battery that will last thousands of hours. In the event the battery goes in-op, T.A.P.S. will continue to work like a normal pressure switch, drawing power from the device itself to operate.

My assumption is he meant to button instead of latch meaning if you tap the light twice, will it stay on.

In that case, yes. Double tap for constant on Steiner devices.

Can't wait. Looking forward to the forward switch to work with my CQBL and the constant on option for the scout. Especially with better cable management.

Not trying to tell you guys what to do, but with the proliferation of the Mk18/CQBR setup (which means DD RIS II) in the military (also the biggest user of NVG and IR Laser devices), this is something that needs to be worked into your design. FWIW, my only DD product is a weapons light mount.

TNVC/NGI has a Blk2 Sopmod clone that will get the TAPs switch tested out on and I'm sure they'll report the findings. Look at their IG account

Soldier Systems Update from SHOT '17

Looks like they are expected to hit the website next week.  Two versions, Pro version that is programmable and costs $239 and a non-programmable version for $139.  Very step prices but I'm sure I'll end up with at least 2 of the Pro's since I want to be able to fire both the laser and the light with 1 button press.
