If a company can't manage a website and honor the prices given,how can they provide customers with quality products.
Not to mention the warrior honor that they try to project. You have no honora no good reputation that impossibly just sunk deeper and can't even run a website a that teenagers can and do TROY "BOY" fits like OJ's glove.

This is really a sad situation all the way around.
I have a number of Troy products. I've got one of their carbines, a few rails, and a few sets of flip up sights. Their products are very good but their leadership has made some bad moves lately. That's really unfortunate for the rank and file employee at Troy. Considering they built that new facility for the purpose of fulfilling the Dick's Sporting Goods arrangement, which of course went sour, they have no choice but to sell, and sell well if they want to get a return on their investment. The posture of the people running Troy seems to indicate that they don't care if they sell much to civilians. They should have fixed the website to prevent this latest problem from ever happening. And the mixed messages "We're going to upcharge you for the correct amount.....oh wait, nevermind, we're not going to do that without your permission", isn't helping either. But at the end of the day, people like Steve Troy will probably be okay financially if the whole company goes crashing down. And I think trying to make it on military and law enforcement sales alone is a tough road to take. The leadership of Troy, if they really want their civilian sector to thrive, needs to change their tone. They have a difficult time with messaging, and it comes across as if they don't really give a damn what the average consumer thinks of them. There's only so many times that can backfire before it starts to spell disaster for them as a company. So I feel bad for the folks in there who are standing at a work station, punching numbers into the CNC machines, or boxing up orders, or assembling the uppers. They didn't do anything wrong. But the people in charge at Troy have a serious public relations issue that has absolutely had an adverse impact on sales. That's not good for the rank and file worker. Troy needs to get their shit together, and fast. I have nothing against the hard working people employed by Troy, but I have to wonder what their leadership is thinking. Companies come and go, and sometimes they go due to things out of their control. But the things happening to them now is stupid things they could have avoided. It's hard enough competing in this part of the market without being your own worst enemy. |
