I recently purchased a Surefire M500A, really like it but would prefer an LED. Came across your TX-4. Been reading reviews here and elsewhere. Just have a couple questions.
1. Is this a true drop in? Just unscrew old and put in new? 2. Is this the same size as the factory head by chance, or is it bigger? Hoping to still be able to use my Surefire flip cover. Thank you for your time. Terry |

Terry Hi Terry, Indeed for your M500, it's a direct head replacement not a drop in type lamp. 
The dimensions of the head is actually a hair under the OD of the factory head. Therefore the SF filters will not be so tight in most cases. Hope this helps. Vic |
