| A big thank you to the guys at RRA. Yesterday I took my 18" Varmint to an Appleseed shoot and using my BUIS where I tied for the high score against much younger eyes then mine. This was only the third outing with this baby and I couldn't have asked for any more then shooting a 224 and gaining the coverted honor of Rifleman from Fred's brigade of instructors. This was only the second time I had my shooting compared against anyone else (other then basic training 23 years ago in the USCG). On the grand scale of competitive shooting this is nothing, but on a personal level looking to compete primarily against myself, this was a nice ego boost to take it the next step. |
