Im not a fan of waiting in the dark, canceled my tOBR order. SR-25 ECC will be in my hands in a little over a week Wow! For the price of that, you could have a PredatOBR in BOTH calibers... Eh, Id pay tax through Larue and Im getting a pretty substantial LE discount from KAC so its actually not all that far apart. Plus I will have it for the summer |

And I love KAC, but their 762 stuff is just too pricey for me. I love precision shooting, so to honest, if they were the same price, I'd still go with the Larue. The wait times suck and I hope Mark gets it sorted. Easy for us to scream hurry up and expand, but business-wise that can be very risky. Always better to be busting at the seams than laying people off and having unused equipment. Hopefully he can find the sweet spot. I would much prefer the POBR than anything from KAC. And the fact that there is a lot of cash left over for quality reloading components offsets the wait time. I will wait and buy the POBR once readily available. I have a Noveske 8" 300blk and suppressor project keeping me busy (and allowing me to practice patience) anyway for now. |

Quoted: I'm waiting to see pictures of all of the models/barrel lengths before I make a decision. Indecisive I am.... I really want a PredatOBR 7.62, but what length??? I guess it really doesn't matter as I'll hardly ever shoot over 300 Yards and it'll only be at Paper, Steel Plates or poppers or some type of Polymer target... I just really want to add a 7.62 Auto to the collection and a good one... Doubt I'd ever save up enough for it anyway... |

I checked in with the mother ship today to ask about the ship date for my tOBR... nothing new to report. Ordered mine on 4/2... I'm willing to give it a year if I need to. Reading is fundamental. So is reading in context, the text you highlighted could also be taken to mean the author got the same answer from larue that everyone else has gotten, and was simply stating he would be willing to wait the said year if that is what it takes. He could have written that with no idea how long the wait would actually be but was forming a mental opinion on his personal limits of patience. Of course I could be wrong. |

eh according to the date that was originally quoted, they still have about 24 days... But, I don't remember what that was I just remember I sent off some Form 1s about the same time and created an HTML countdown timer that counts down the days...
The waiting sucks. But it is up to us if we decide go this route. Most of us, who are willing to spend this much for a precision semi auto have fired most of the high end stuff. We have compared the products that Larue produces with other mfg's who produce products designed for the same purpose. After trying many others, the majority here (and elsewhere based on the lead times) have decided we will pay the price and invest the time to wait for Larue. That is a testament to how good the product is. I have owned and/or shot most of the rifles that can be compared to the precision rifles Larue produces. Some of them are phenomenal weapons, and many come from great companies. But for me, Larue is at the top of the list. Bottom line, even though I can get products from some of LT's competition much quicker, I will still wait. It's just that good. I hope eventually Mr Larue figures out a balance between over-staffing/over-committing on equipment purchases and minimizing wait time. But in the interim, when I want precision rifles in 5.56 or 7.62, it will come from Leander. |

I'm really curious as to the holdup, Is it a design related issue, parts, materials for parts, or contracts taking president over one off civillian sales or what??? I guess it doesn't matter either way... I can't wait to see folks start posting pics of these bad boys and their various setups... It gives me time to start saving and looking around the house for stuff that maybe I can sell to help finance the habit... I suck at teh saving de Monies... ![]() |
| Ordered mine in 7.62 16.1 on 02 May. Dammit! I wish I knew that they didn't need the money up front and I would have done so sooner. Hopefully I'll see it by the end of the year too. It's been tempting to hold back from buying other things. I wonder how many preorders have been made? |
My wife just purchased a predatOBR 16 for my 30th B-day! Gotta love her. It'll go nice with my OBR lite. Don't give a damn if I don't get it till Christmas. Larue is the man and takes care of customers, Excelllent customer service and swag to boot. Beats going to a gun store, beggin some d-bag to let you see a gun, givin them a wad of cash and hardly getting a thank you. Rant over.

Got an email about a change in my order status!!
Said to call Juli for FFL verification. Im in transition of a few states over a 6 month period, so I told the rep handling my order to make a note, saying to call to find out where I was and what FFL to ship to. Seeing the note, I of course got immediately excited, thinking it was time for my baby to come home! But alas, t'was just some file auditing, and making sure everything was crossed and dotted. Called and talked to a friend in the office, and was told the rifles arent in production just yet. At the moment, he wasnt comfortable giving me an expectant date. Very diplomatic, which I really appreciated. Even when getting mildly disappointing news, I still love the CS from LT. |
| Okay, so me saying I would wait 1 year was an arbitrary amount of time. To be clear... I'm willing to wait as long as it takes because I already have a PredatAR and appreciate the quality of that rifle. I've called a couple of times fishing for ship date info and the boys at LT are consistent in saying that delivery dates are not available at this time. |

Quoted: Quoted: Someone order me a PredatOBR in 7.62.. Not picky on length as I can't decide which I'd rather have... Didn't you say you'd be using it at 300 yards and in, if so, go for a 14.5". Yea, I'd love to Stretch it out to 5-600+, but lets face it, its not very likley... 300 and under 99.9% of the time... OK that settles it, someone order me a 14.5".... |
| I ordered a 14.5" with Surefire Muzzle brake on 3/19. I had the money all ready for them to bill me. Now that I have had to wait with money available, I've got half of it tied up in travel expenses to be reimbursed and two suppressors. I have to hope that they take a while to complete the rifles just so I can save the money to pay for it. |
