Just ordered my first RRA, Tactical Operator 2 with the Dominator 2 mount. I hope it's quicker then the 90 day wait

Any words of wisdom on what to look forward to?

Use this time to get your accesories.   Get your mags, rebuild kits, soft case, reload tools if you reload.  Just be careful so you dont end up like me, I brought my new EO2 to my fathers house so he could check it out and it took some serious arm twisting to get it back, but I did end up with a dozen colt magazines after the ordeal.

You can look forward to those 90 +/- days being behind you eventually, but definitely don't hold your breath haha.

And hours on end of playing with your new toy. Now that you mention it, Im gonna go play with mine!!!

And I would def buy a rifle bag or case of some sort and a cleaning kit first, gotta protect that investment!!

After I got my TO2 with the Dominator mount, the first thing I did was take off the Dominator. I didn't like the permanent co-witness with my EOTech XPS-2. I installed a Magpul gen2 buis instead, with the EOTech mounted directly on the upper.

You'll want a sling. I made my own 2/1 point sling with 550 paracord, HK hook, and snap hook.

I recommend ladder covers instead of things like the Magpul XTM panels to keep the size of the foregrip manageable.

You'll also find that a vertical foregrip is useful. I like the stubby VFGs like the Magpul product.

A weapon light is a must. I have a SF 6px mounted at 3 o'clock.

Have fun putting the improvements on your rifle that will make it all yours.

My pride and joy prior to sling and light mount changes:

RRALower,

Can you post a picture on how you mounted your EOTech?

And thanks for the suggestions.

I would add that while it is a great time to stock up on equipment, take your time. I bought and ordered all my accessories within 2 weeks of ordering it. It was a long 70 days from after that point. Oh yeah, and the wait only intensifies with time. Good luck

Try being involved in the development of a new product for two years (and wanting one the whole time) before it goes public that you're even making it...and then having to wait just like everyone else to get one.

I'm in the same boat. papester. Can't wait to get my TO2!! The wait is killing me! Ordered mine early June and it seems like it's been a year already. I have everything bought for my gun except a carry case (soft), cleaning kit, and rebuild kits. Bought an EoTech 516, Magpul BUIS GEN2, 5 position grip, flashlight & green laser, Magpul rail covers, Magpul mags, tactical charging handle, BAD leaver, etc... hope I get the call and/or email soon!

RRALower, sweet setup man! How do you like that sling? Wish I could get one or knew how to make one (hint hint lol).

I'll get you pics of the sight mounted and a link or two for the para order sling.

I love my rifle, and so does my 8yo son. He regularly fires it and sometimes sends more downrange than I do. I got the hairy eyeball when I told the wife we need another RRA carbine.

Well come to find out, my rifle was sitting in my Lieutenant's office for a week... he just told me yesterday and I went by his office to pick it up...woohoo that thing's sweet! I'm going to name her Pebbles... "here's Pebbles, wanna meet BamBam?"

Here's a pic shortly after I got my TO2. Rear buis not yet installed, but the XPS-2 is mounted directly to the upper.

Another pic with BH single point sling.

Here is a link to a survival bracelet using paracord. I made my sling for my RRA and Mossberg 590 using the cobra and king cobra knots:

I think I'm understanding how to make a 'king cobra knot', but do you have specific instructions on how to create the sling? I'm having a hard time finding anything concreate and I'm not creative enough to figure it out on my own lol

Purdy, but I gotta ask a few questions. Do you have 2 flashlights on there? Is that a replica Eotech? And what happened to the Dominator?

Looks great, so how is it operating?

Nah, one flashlight (mounted on the forward rail under the front sight) and a green laser (mounted to the right of the foregrip with a 45 degree mount; so I can push it with my thumb when gripping the foregrip). Flashlight has pressure switch, green laser has a pressure plate on the back. The Eotech is not a replica, it's a genuine Eotech 516... one thing you'll notice with the replicas vs. real is the back window is almost flush with the rear of the hood on the replicas. Don't need a Dominator mount because I'm using my own BUIS. I'll take more pics and show ya.

Thanks! It's operating flawlessly *knock on wood*... I think I talked (or at least my TO2 did) my dad into wanting one

Well, I'm happy to say my wait is over!!

I picked up my Tactical Operator 2 today and all I can say is WOW! What a rifle. Great build and for a AWB compliant model it is fantastic. Total time from order placed and delivery to my dealer was about 11 days!

I will be posting pictures shortly.

I just recently received mine.  Before i even took it to the range i put on some accessories!  Finally took it last week to the range and wow!  Shot perfect cant wait to go out again.  It was worth all the research on buying a rifle and the wait.
