Will you guys thread an SKS?
I'd also like a professional opinion: barrel is currently 0.550" at the muzzle.
Is 14mm LH viable? What about 1/2x28 and boring the muzzle device to .330?

I would go with 1/2-28 and bore out the FH. It would be a lot safer.
 



ETA: Is the muzzle device designed to stop against a shoulder, or more like an AK with a detent of some sort?

Wall thickness won't be an issue?
It's an SDTA muzzle brake for a F1 suppressor. The area in front of the SKS front sight is only like .510" so I would prefer the brake the shoulder against the thick front sight post. If that answers your question...
