Is it possible to do a threaded barrel extension for use with factory pistol barrel for a Browning Hi Power 9mm? I want to run a suppressor on it.

I have a FEG clone that I want a threaded barrel for. I heard a rumor that it is not possible to do so with this specific firearm. Is this true or is it something that you could do?
