I have a FAL that I would like to get the barrel threaded to 5/8-24. I know I cant pull the barrel from the receiver, can you guys thread the barrel with the receiver still attached?

The OP may also want to measure the OD of his barrel to make sure that it is large enough to thread to 5/8"-24. When I measure mine out it was just shy of being big enough around.

This ^ is correct, thus the reason they were threaded 9/16-24
