I love how some of you act like a company is SOO horrible when you have to wait for a product. Some of you need to look past the end of your nose and see that there are TENS of thousands of people just like you (or more) who are ordering the same thing you are. Because of the state of the union they are all doing it at the same time you are and for the same reasons. Is it really so unbelieveable that a company would have trouble filling this RUSH of orders? Personaly I waited 8 months for my Elite Comp. And I'll tell you that I'm GLAD I did. I'd gladly wait extra time for a product made by people who care what they ship out when I know the wait is because of ALL the other people who think the same way I do.
If someone finds what they want in stock somewhere and they dont have to wait? Sweet. But good lord, stop bagging on a great company who puts out a great product to as many people as they can while still holding onto industry leading quality control. For those of you who are simply excited and can't wait for their order and post without complaining... Keep following the high road and enjoy the $#!% out of your RRA when you get it. |
| Industry leading hardly. Decent rifle? Yes. Why do you care if people complain? Is it hurting your sensitive feelings or something? RRA's customer service is shit. Their unwillingness to answer questions is shit, and really thats what people are bagging on not the wait time. It's the fact that when you call up this abortion of a company youre met with a stonewall of stupid and indignation. How about all you complainer that whine about complainers shut the fuck up and not worry so much about what other people are doing? |
|
It's not the wait. It's the arrogant sensibility that says, "Don't call us. Your rifle will be ready when it's ready, and we aren't going to be bothered to tell you what your position on the list is. We don't care that you may also have a timetable, and may need to cancel your order based on our inability to meet that schedule. You can just wait until you can't wait anymore." I've sworn off two companies that have acted that way - RRA and JP Enterprises. You want to call it whining? Have at it. I call it customer rights, and sharing reviews of a company's ability to deliver product in a timely manner at a reasonable price (and more importantly, let their customers know they are valued) is, in my opinion, one of the best uses for the internet. |

There's two sides to this issue. The patient waiters and the whiners. Before the election, RRA as with all the other manufacturers, turned out a product in a reasonable time. They along with everyone else, were not tooled up
for a 300% increase of a panic stricken mob at their door anymore than grocery stores can keep bottled water and batteries on the shelf before a hurricane. Instead of ignoring QC like Colt is doing, tossing blemished upper/ lowers to the starving mob with a 'those desperate bastards will buy our rejects and be glad to get one, after all we're Colt' arrogant attitude, RRA continues to turn out a consistantly good product. No surprises or 'I hope I got a good one' worry when opening the box. As some cancel orders, there is something to be said for a company that won't waiver on quality just to make a sale. |
| It's not the wait, it's the no information that's damaging these companies. How hard is it to post on websites that orders being filled now were placed back on date x and update it every week or so? At least that would give some idea as to when to expect things. Customers placing orders have been a dime a dozen for allmost a year now and there is no reason whatsoever to treat them that way. I'm sure everyone understands that demand has been way over capacity and that everyone appreciates the companies that have not cranked up the prices in this but people will remember who handled this the best if things ever do slow down. |
| Evidently they are asleep at wheel. It took them until the end of 2008 to realize that with the 1000's of orders piling in, that they might not hit their 8-12 week ADVERTISED delivery times. Then they change estimated time to indefinately. It is absolutely their fault for not setting realistic expectations with their customers. If when I ordered my rifle, they said it was going to take 42 weeks instead of their projected 8-12 weeks, I would not have posted a single negative thing about them. They have been shipping like rifles out of order which upsets a lot of people. They deserve the criticism they are getting but none of it seems to be based on quality of rifle. |
| I'm new to RR. I put an order in back in April with every expectation that it may be many months or even a year+ before it was filled. I would represent someone that has no right to whine because I knew the situation I was getting into. I'm patient and don't mind the wait. But it does seem that SOME of the criticisms are warranted. I do believe RR could have reacted a bit better to the growing army of those on indefinite wait status. The "now filling orders placed between [insert date range] does seem like a good idea that would not be too difficult to implement. |

I ordered my super special with all the mall ninja crap on it and it isn't here yet. boo hoo. Get a life. Every time I have called or e-mailed I get prompt courteous answers with good information. I don't ask them about deliveries as I know they are shipping as fast as they can. So, to all you instant gratification youth out there... sit down, shut up, and wait your turn. If you don't like it, cancel your order and go buy an arma-douche or something. 'nuff said. 8654 OUT |

**********UPDATE:************ Ordered 9/17/2008 Recieved 5/11/2009 Changed sight from PADS to ARMS 40L on 4/9/2009, hence the arrival of rifle on 5/11. Note: seems to be a nice rifle, however I can promise you that there is no QC at RRA that actually assembles a rifle before it is boxed and shipped. I know this because my rifle is unable to be assembled. The front pivot pin will not push through the receiver tang. Took the detent and pivot pin out and tried the pin from the other way and it made it all the way (almost) until it encountered the machining discrepency on the forward face. Not too happy, extremely disappointed. Now, do you really believe that I would refuse this gun because of this and wait another astronaumical amount of time for a replacement to come to me? No, the receiver hole wasn't reamed properly. I'll do it myself, but I shouldn't have to for a gun in excess of $1000.00. I think this is just fucking piss poor of RRA, to make a customer wait 8 months for a rifle that doesn't even go together out of the box. How about this––take one more day....hell, take a whole extra week....and MAKE SURE THE SHIT YOU SEND OUT THE DOOR FUCKING WORKS! Now I get to stew on what else is jacked up about this rifle while I locate an appropriate reamer to finish a job I shouldn't have to do in the first place. Good luck to all y'all still waiting, and please go over your gun with a discerning eye before transfer. |

I'm a patiently waiting whiner. Hell, I've bought 2 22s, a Bushmaster dissipator, a ruger 380 lcp for the little lady, and a Millenium pro 45. Now if that ain't patient I don't know what is. Oh wait, that's freakin' ree-dick-a-lus . But boy am I havin' fun blowin away paper. That being said, It would be real righteous of RR to at least post a list of where an order stands (like that hasn't been said before). Anyway, I'm expectin' my kit to be platinum coated with jeweled inlays an all. I always say - If your gonna dream might as well dream big. Hey I'll whine if I'n I wanna. Whatsit too ya?

Geez, guys, you know, I bought a gun from someone and they won't tell me when it will come in. I'm so upset... I just don't know what to do. My feelings are hurt. No one will pay me the proper amount of attention because they don't think I hung the moon.... like I do. Golly gee, what will I do.
GIVE ME A BREAK. If you don't know the deal, you DON'T DESERVE ANY RIFLE not only one from RRA. |

Impossible to do, as I canceled my order. It's the best move I did this year! I'm tired of the same canned response from them "No ETA, waiting on barrels". Since that basic AR order of last year, I have built 3 rifles and kept one. None of them have RRA products in them. There are many good suppliers that will give excellent customer service first, with honest answers to your questions. Shop around, I won't do business with them any longer! I have heard talk down at the shop that they might be having cash flow problems, where their venders are holding back on RRA parts. If this is true, this would explain why other companies have barrels and RRA doesn't. |

If this is true, this would explain why other companies have barrels and RRA doesn't. Not true...My buddy's shop makes bolts and many other parts for RRA, Springfield, Les Beiar, and several others and he told me a couple weeks ago all companies are still waiting on barrels and many other parts. Why? Because they don't make all of their own parts. He was telling me that LB out sources I believe it was like 75% of all their parts for their guns. Don't quote me on that, but I am pretty sure that is what he said. I honestly couldn't believe it. |

I can't find any D&B current reports on the net, maybe someone can find something current.
I found this on their quality control, http://www.ar15-ar15.com/Rock_River_Arms_Quality_Review_s/42.htm they do built good guns, but I'd like the CS to be at the same level. |

I'll say it's time for some damage control with talk about RRA tanking,if anyone reading has any connections maybe send word up the ivory tower.
I plan on giving mine a year, 24" varmint with magpul stock. It's got about four more months to show and if it don't I'm gonna bail. Sure I'm an impatient whiner who don't deserve nothin. But I think a year is plenty of time to come up with something besides "we have no idea realy when it'll be done". |
Now, I sleep w/ my seXXXY black rifle.....
