I took a precision rifle class at Rifles Only last week. We knocked out plates from 100 to 1000 yds. Plates were all 10in x 10 in plates. Took me 5 shots to get my dope and make contact at 1k. That was the farthest I've ever shot out to by far. I shot the entire class with the Tranquillo attached. It shot great until day 4. Started having stovepipes. Looked inside and it was pretty dry. Sprayed a little lube in and kept on firing. Round count was about 500. The toughest for me was shooting movers at 100, 400, and 515 yds. We avg'd about 10 to 15 mph of winds per day, so we had pretty good windage practice. I had the only gas gun there. It took 44.75 moa of elevation to hit the plate using 175 grn FGMM

This was the BCG the day it started stove piping on me. I had sprayed some lube in it, but at lunch I took it out just to check how bad it was. I ended up wiping it off with a paper towel, throwing a little more lube on it and kept going. My 556 suppressed gets dirtier than that after a mag. This was around the 300 to 400 rd count on the 308.

Something something poop in, poop out  Put in a heavier buffer and set the gas to "suppressed" without a suppressor and they work a bit better as the rifle still cycles fine that way with anything but underpowered reloads and seems to slow down enough that it compensates for the rough magazine walls and slow feeding....not worth trouble for cheap magazines when the magpuls are a couple dollars more. |

The owner/instructor shot it several rounds and was impressed. There are a few youtube videos of him with an OBR. A few of the guys liked it, but there were some really nice bolt guns there. I was impressed with it too. We shot from a tower from 100 to 1000 yds. I had more trouble hitting the 900 yd plate than any of them. The wind kept swirling. At 900 yds, I was holding right about 9 moa. When I went to 1k, I had to hold 6 moa right. |

You go to a public range to shoot? If so, where at? If private land....if you need a fellow shooting partner anytime, hit me up. Hill Country is only a couple hours drive time. 
According to google, that's about 46.25 moa drop. Pretty close to what I had. 44.75 moa drop but using 175 grains. |

According to google, that's about 46.25 moa drop. Pretty close to what I had. 44.75 moa drop but using 175 grains. Best of the West (Liberty Hill). 47ish MOA. It's probably a bit off, didn't sight in specifically with this ammo before shooting plates. The 175s work a bit better, just trying to get rid of the 168s. |
